We strongly encourage our guests to practice catch and release, because we release 100% of our fish

When you arrive at the airport, there will be a representative from the lodge. He will be standing in the arrival hall, and help you with your luggage and drive you to the cabin. A representative will also drive you to the airport on the departure date.

There is a 50min drive from Río Gallegos airport to KARKU’S estancia.

The nearest medical center is a 50 min drive away from the estancia.

KARKU is focused on fly fishing, and although we don’t offer activities for non-fishing guests in the estancia, there are tours in the surrounding areas of the city and in neighboring towns that can be accessed at an additional cost.

We offer laundry service for our guests at KARKU for an additional fee.

Here at KARKU we recognize that when traveling to far-off places, things happen that our company, ourselves, and our customers cannot always control. For that reason, we strongly recommend that our clients purchase travel insurance before coming to their fishing adventure.

We recommend that you bring cash because although there are ATMs in the city, it is very difficult to withdraw money with foreign cards due to the exchange control.

If you would like to show your appreciation for a great service, we suggest a minimum 12% of the trip cost. Gratuities for the guide staff and house staff should be handed to the Camp Manager.

In case of lost luggage or broken rods, we will help you out but you should bring your own.
